Meet Hocus, The undermentioned sidekick of pocus! My 90s design for Hocus is a oversize chubby-looking clown, but I grew to hate it so much I ditch the sidekick and let pocus go solo...This actually suits her more as she doesn't seem to be the team playing type.

Now I try to revive Hocus, but in a different way. Hocus now is only a mere marionette! Another split personality of pocus. And pocus' not even a ventriloquist!

After a hectic week, took some time off to continue my momentum. Funny thing is when things are relaxed I'm too lazy to draw and now I can barely breath from all my outstanding stuff from office and I'm drawing. I guess it's my way of escape and de-stress. Wondering how long I can keep up before work consume all of it.

I'm sorry, I won't do it again...

What is suppose to be a flashback idea became a reality on paper. Another artwork while wait for my wife to knock from overtime. If this carries on, I can do a full art book. Wasn't fully satisfied with this piece, the background is actually not nessesary and now it looks so amatuerish...

Still not bored on pocus, I decided to explore her youth at 13 to 14 years old, where she seek refuge in a performance troupe to escape her abusive uncle.

But life was tough for her as she was chosen to be an acrobatic jester. She was often abused and punished by her trainer for any mistakes and failures. In here she almost suffer mental breakdown due to the tough training.

But all this is fated, for this is also the very place she learned acrobatic skills that will aid she in she hired jobs in the future.

I love crazy blanket-parties....

Still fueled by the sketch from Sunday, I decided to do another one last night while wait for my wife to knock from her overtime. After this I'm totally maxed out.

This is pocus during covering her "dirty act" under the sheets. pocus have a tendancy to go on a "killing spree" once awhile even if it's not her hired job..She seemed to have something for leching rapists or those who sexually abuse their own kids or relatives....

She like how they scream in fear and pain running from her...

A lazy sunday afternoon, I decided to pack my artworks and stuff and I flipped through my "pocus" filebook containing all the old artworks of the "pocus" character I did from Polytechnic till more recent times (2008?) Except for those "recent" sketches, I realised most of the artwork of "pocus" are unrefined due to my infant skill during those times.

Funny bcos "pocus" is suppose to be my internet monikor yet I neglected her the most. Inspired, I decided to recreate "pocus" in my current idea of how she should be like during those days. Based on the costume I did for her from this entry, I refined her looks.

Hope to create more "pocus" artworks in coming days (if time permits)

After various sketches and discussion my wife, we finalized the design on paper. I borrowed the projector my of Office admin (Thanks SoSi!) and project the image on the wall while outlining with a pencil.

The rest is painting! Joining forces with my wife, we managed to complete the paint in 1 day, with minor touchups in subseqent days. This is my first major wall painting.

This is only part of our painting, wanna see the whole thing? First you must know us, then pay us a visit...We'll treat you nice homecooked meal! :)

Busy Busy Busy...

Some updates, I finally moved to my new home, which explains my lack of updates for the past months. Plus the fact my work is picking up again, my lull period at work is officially over while I go from 750rpm to 6000rpm redline. (Actually already over a few months back).

Expect lesser and lesser update from my until my next lull period at end 2011.

Rough interior sketch my our home's desired design.

How to renovate and decorate our home interior has been a headache and major cause for our move-in plans.

After much fruitful discussion, we decided to create more of a comtemporary Japanese kind of theme with a touch of tradition sense. Much from the inspirations from one of our favorite anime, Totoro where the characters from modern Japan moved into a traditional japanese rice plantation village to recuperate and live a rural life.

Out of enthusiasm, I did my own research and did some rough sketches on our interior desired theme.

This is a basis of what we show to our interior designers so there will not have any miscommunications.

This story is told to me by my wife during one of her gatherings. I find it so amusing yet easy to put on paper. Took a break from my 30 page comic project to do a quick 3 page strip.

I could have used a more casual style to bring out the humor but I want to continue to practice on my actual style. The pages are drawn in a haste hence it's unrefined. Think I took 3 days, 3hours each day to complete.

Hope to do more of such short strips instead of 30pages "publishable" comic, this way I can see the end result faster and earlier.

I can't say I'm extremely proud to stay in The Pinnacle@Duxton, but it's just one of the things you get excited when you waited and finally got the keys! Though the excitment was already mellowed down by the super long 5 years wait.

This is just one of my experimental ideas of designing something like a localize "shout-loud" Tee-shirts. So I just taking advantage of the P@D to come out something cool.

It's not printed yet and I have no intention to sell this, nor that anyone will buy it.

New Masthead for Colt Turbo Forum SG

The Colt Turbo Forum SG (CTFSG) sort of hit a stump in the late Feburary when the forum account suddenly expire. Reason probably due to expired account payment or admin inactivity. Just one night and all local Colt owners lost a place in the internet. Affords to negotiate with the original forum owner, who is now inactive and domant, was unsuccessful.

So the Moderators has no choice but to start a new forum service to bring back all the members. After 3 weeks the forum is in good shape with most active members coming back. But it is unfortunate that alot of the old information from the old forum was lost.

I was tasked(or volunteered) to redesign a new logo for CTFSG. Turns out quite ok and the mods accepted it.
