I was suppose to be able to purchase a limited edition Lego figures with every $50 of Shell V-Power grade fuel. V-power is very premium and expensive fuel which I almost never use. But since I want the toy badly I bite the bullet....only to find out the offer was sold out.
Imagine my frustration...

As known, I'm a huge fan of Transformers! Not the Micheal Bay movie version but the G1 version we all loved when we were young.
As known, I'm a huge fan of Transformers! Not the Micheal Bay movie version but the G1 version we all loved when we were young.
Bumblebee was my favorite then, a small sized Autobot who rely more on stealth and skills than strength. Cliffjumper wasn't really my favorite Autobot, he's brave and charges into battle, but more often he gets himself into trouble due to his impulsiveness.
Anyway both Bumblebee and Cliffjumper belong to the subgroup of Autobots called the minibots, hence it's quite known that they are brothers. Moreover the toy of bumblebee is often repainted and renamed as "Cliffjumper"...
I always wanted to do an Autobot based on my Colt Version R, Cliffjumper, being red, fits the bill. Also, Suzuki just released a photo of their Swift Concept S so I know I just have to update my bumblebee from the previous model to the current model.
The outcome is pretty edgy. I planned to put it on T-shirt. Stay tuned for more...

Wife's still in office overtime. She's stressed out. The first pic probably explains her stress level that that point of time. The 2nd pic is a gift for her to motivate her using her favorite "Carebear".
Hitting a slump.lately and I'm too lazy to draw on the paper and scan, so I just whacked from the tablet. When I was drawing the "Revenge Bear" pic, My PC crashed during coloring phase. I wasted some time rebooting and redrawing again as I forgot to save my work during coloring. I gave up after the 2nd crash and took a pic from my cellphone while the PC hunged on me. It's not really complete but I don't think I want to continue a speed drawing artwork, the momentum is already gone.
The crash on my PC is resulting from TDR timeout exceeded from PC CS with my Nvidia GPU. I tweaked some regedit settings and hope the problem will go away.
"Carebears" is a trademark of American Greetings Corporation, Inc.. The "Revenge Bear" is a self-created non-profit likeness and parody of the "carebear" and is in no way representing the original "Carebears" franchise.

I've been hitting sort of a slump lately can haven't been able to produce any artwork to my "standard". As the Chinese new year drews closer, I decided to create a "greeting card" intended for my friends in Facebook and WhatsApp.
I did 3 drafts before finally settling for this version. Using the traditional way of drawn and inking, followed by coloring with the tablet, this is my 2nd practice in colored art. Still pretty rusty but I hoped I'll get the hand of it in future artworks.
It's a 5 to 6 hours effort spanning 4 days, but alas I didn't manage to get it to WhatsApp on time since I just changed my phone and haven't updated my contacts then. In the end this piece reach limited friends and only seen by those who regulate in Facebook

eXpressionsI took pretty short time to draw the picture, but a hell lot of time to paint it. I think I took like 3 days some hours each in total.
Completed quite early but I failed my first critique. My wife commented not of the technical skill, but of the color combination. She doesn't like the brown top. She suggested brighter colors but that will conflict with Pocus' character and style. In the end I played with the colors abit and gave her a slightly reddish top.
I redid the paint a few times to get some of the colors right. The lighting were dull white initially and I gave it a yellowish tone to it. Overall, not my proudest work but it's one of my most technically enlightened work. Here I know my limitation and places to improve.
This is my sandbox colored artwork after so many years... Hope to do more of such stuff in the future, at a shorter time too.

After my wife saw my new mast header, she requested me to do a similar pic of her with the Intuos, how can I reject? Since my wife as crazy in running as I'm crazy in drawing, I decided to do a "RUN OF LIFE" lineart for her!
My second artwork using the Intuos 4, the funny thing is I bought the tablet more for coloring but end up doing sketches, something that is quite difficult to do in the Graphire.
Hope to get the hang of the Intuos soon.

Makeover time! "Room of eXpressions" new Mast Header!! eXpressing myself in my room...

As I was uploading stuff earlier, I realised the copyright notice was from 2009 to 2010! Hence it was time for me to update the header.
I have 2 choice, (1) edit and update the current header or (2) redesign a new header. I finally decide to combine both to create a hyrid header that looks like the current one yet with new stuff.
I decided to ditch the lamp as it has no meaning to it, so I decided to include someone in my likeness drawing, expressing himself. As I've no mood to pencil it down so I decided to draw it from my newly purchased Wacom Intuos 4! (My Wacom Graphire was destroyed during the move)
Turns out pretty well so I decided to keep as our header. Yup that's me, expressing myself though artwork, in my room...
